At that point he would not have qualified with us either. The point of a JC/CC is to become academically eligible.

Yep, seems that way. He could have been on West Virginia's roster this fall, but they wanted him to pay his own way this fall and receive a scholarship in the spring. HUD offered a scholarship. He can play this fall.
