He's not in a Flood Zone in Mill Creek Cove. They live across Millcreek Road from me. That neighborhood took on quite a bit of water. I was walking through 4 feet of water helping people get their belongings out. Coach Bab's house was pretty bad at midpoint of the storm on Saturday morning along with about 25 others in that neighborhood. Such a sad sight to see......
It's uplifting to see the amount of support from the neighbors and outsiders offering help, offering food, offering laundry assistance, etc. We live in a great area and I hope that everyone can get back on their feet as soon as possible.
Satellite imagery from earlier this week (I think the 16th) which is after some of the ater had receded in Lafayette.

Don't even think of opening this link with a cell phone. You won't be able to view it properly.

Can those of you in the Baton Rouge area confirm that the City of Walker had removed some of the Barrier on I-12 to relieve the flooding conditions on the north side of the interstate. I would imagine that there are some folks at LADOTD that are a little "tight" right now.
Coaches, players moved after helping to clear damaged homes in Youngsville
He probably makes to much $$$.
I was at my good friends' house, which is two houses up the street from Bab, a few days ago giving him a hand with his flooded house. I got a call from my pizzed friend that he does not qualify for a dime of assistance. Like Bab...no flood insurance.
they ____ the middle class in the drive through in this country!!!
---Man the 3-5 day post flood deal has set in----and we are the very fortunate ones in that the office is OK and only part of the house flooded---If I had the furniture and appliances that were thrown out in piles by the street I could easily go in business and it is good to see the pickers come around and try to salvage things---remember the college/post college days where these damaged furnishings would be so nice to have----but it stinks and all the water is not gone---helping to move carpet, beds, mattresses, entire kitchens=---I guess all on here have been through the routine!!! Oh and the muscles that you forgot you had are letting you know that they are still around!!! lol
The response efforts in our area could top $30 million in aid from the Red Cross.
