My brother had Raymond Calais and Tanner Holmes helping him at his home on Clay Ridge. He said they were very helpful, and very respectful.

Lafayette Parish Mayor-President Joel Robideaux took some time out of his schedule to update listeners about how local government is monitoring and responding to the widespread flooding throughout the parish.
I live in Fort Worth and listen to a Dallas News/Talk station on the way to work. I was very proud to hear this quote (as best I can remember) on the news this morning:
"The University of Louisiana Ragin Cajun football team is in Youngsville helping flood victims."
What makes me really proud is that our coaches felt it important enough to take an afternoon off 2 1/2 weeks before the season opener. A game that could potentially change our program.
Don't believe too many other coaching staffs would do this.

He's not in a Flood Zone in Mill Creek Cove. They live across Millcreek Road from me. That neighborhood took on quite a bit of water. I was walking through 4 feet of water helping people get their belongings out. Coach Bab's house was pretty bad at midpoint of the storm on Saturday morning along with about 25 others in that neighborhood. Such a sad sight to see......
It's uplifting to see the amount of support from the neighbors and outsiders offering help, offering food, offering laundry assistance, etc. We live in a great area and I hope that everyone can get back on their feet as soon as possible.
Satellite imagery from earlier this week (I think the 16th) which is after some of the ater had receded in Lafayette.

Can those of you in the Baton Rouge area confirm that the City of Walker had removed some of the Barrier on I-12 to relieve the flooding conditions on the north side of the interstate. I would imagine that there are some folks at LADOTD that are a little "tight" right now.
