Is interdisciplinary studies a creative way of saying general studies?
What do ya'll think of the recent rise in use of degree general studies? I realize in the true origins of the term university from ancient times, that would be the goal, but i think our system and society has evolved (maybe not for the better?)to such that people are not majoring in general studies for that altruistic reason but rather an easier path to stay qualified.
