Cleared to play means he is medically okay. How much practice has he had? I would think he is practicing this week for sure, so I would think he could see some limited snaps. Conditioning, and chemistry will dictate how many.

He is cleared to practice and this week will be his first, if we blink and are down 21, I have no problem with giving that ankle another week. He is much more important for the next 11 games than this one.

But it also likely doesn't mean that he is 100% and if the game is not where we want it, they may choose to sit him out to get him healthier for the goat bangers the following week. I think that's what he's saying.

Just the fact that Hudspeth acknowledged his short comings in public, says he's self aware, and that's at least a step in the right direction.
Dez will be a homerun hire...in 3-4 years when hopefully he becomes our head coach. Has anyone seen anything in practice to make you think Dez has the slightest bit of input into the offense? Munoz is a patsy, no other way to put it. For a team that struggled that bad on offense the year before...no way you promote from within. That's like finding a ship that sunk, dragging it up, fixing it, and putting one of the crew members as the new First Mate (my ship jargon sucks...). Nothing will get fixed.

Airing his shortcomings in public is nothing new, he did that last year, and many times before. He never fixed those problems though.

I dig the optimism...I just can't hop on that bandwagon. I want to see dollars to donuts. Practice won't cut the mustard. We've been sold that bill of goods too many times already. On the field. Only way to show me it's different this time. No better test than Boise. No matter how much we run down Harsin for what he did at a completely different school...Boise the program is always a team that comes out looking for the kill.

Dez is absolutely a presence at practice. Constantly coaching and interacting with his group and yes, still gets fired the hell up. There is no doubt in my mind that he has input and people listen.

On Munuz. Enron didn't have 100% crooked, tool bag, loathsome jerks making decisions there. Bad things happen when a select few at the top mishandle things. CC makes a good point about Munoz' longevity here. I think the guy has earned a shot. I have no issue with his hire.

Hud as acknowledged things before, but in this detail. Admitting that you've been strangling the staff is a big revelation.

But have you seen it in the offense that we are running at practice? I love that Dez is on the staff, but he isn't ready yet.

By accepting that the offense is going to be better with Munoz at OC, it's taking a bit of a swipe at Jay Johnson and what he did here, which was nothing short of amazing, until Hud and him disagreed on Haack versus Nixon. We lost easily the best OC we have ever had at this school to Minnesota, and promoted the WR coach to do the same thing. That's a recipe for disaster. And longevity at a school means nothing more than loyal to the ones who make decisions at the top, not that they are good coaches. If coaches being long term employees meant they were good, Tubberville would still be at Auburn.

It's no bigger than admitting he ____ the bed with the APC, and by giving Brooks Haack the high hard one. It didn't change anything, and was only lip service to get the onus off of him if anything. Hud isn't stupid, he knows that people these days have short attention spans. It's cathartic to him, and makes us all feel warm and fuzzy. You think Hud's seat is the least bit warm?

I'll go with Mike Golic who has addressed the been okeyed to play issue many times. It means you should play period, no ifs, ands, or buts if you are the best asset at the position.

Granted Riles has probably missed a lot of specific practice that he needs to be most successful, but I don't think it should have to do with still needing some type of rest or remediation to the injury. Maybe UL doctors have a different view of okey to play.

I have two together armrest chairback seats at the thirty and a parking permit in C lot. The seats are about ten rows down on the south side. Priced face value, plus overnight costs to you. PM me if you are interested.

I don't know if the offense will be better, I'm just saying that it will be different. (Btw, wouldn't be very hard to have a better offense than last year).

Jay Johnson is a stud, no question. I don't think it's taking a swipe at JJ because his decisions were not the issue with our offense. The stubbornness of the head coach, the loss of control in the locker room, the lack of accountability of the players, the shape and injuries of the players, and lack of leadership were the issues with our offense last year.

I get the trepidation. I'm not saying you or anyone that has major doubts is wrong. I'm just letting you know what I've seen and how I see things playing out.

We see the proof in the pudding on Saturday.
