ASN subchannel network
On January 8, 2016, Sinclair announced that American Sports Network would launch as a dedicated, 24 hour-a-day digital multicast channel in Baltimore, Charleston, Cincinnati, Columbus, Greensboro, Myrtle Beach, Pittsburgh, Portland, and Raleigh-Durham on January 11, 2016.
Yeah, there are some direct affiliates that are part of the ASN. Its the regional sports network affiliates that most people will catch the games on (like CST, Root Sports, etc. Those are basically all HD, whereas the Lafayette direct over the air affiliate listed, KXKW-LD, is not HD. If you have Directv, the game should be listed on a few of the regional sports channels in the 600s
I believe you will be able to get it on ESPN III. That's why they call it a national telecast. LTUR was on this network weekly in our primary recruiting footprint. It was carried by CST and locally channel 2 MyTvHd network. Now maybe that was part of a CUSA deal on both CST and MyTvHd network channel 2. It may be that because CST is precluded as part of our gifting our broadcast rights to ESPN and the SBC from showing the game, and MyTvHd network channel 2 won't carry.
Thanks FarmerBROWN for either voting away our rights willingly, or to show a united front and making it unanimous. We don't FarmerBROWN have to go along with unanimous votes to please King Karl and the rest of the SBC Lilliputians. Well you may if your goal is to forever boarder on FCS football.
Within 36 months there will be an agreement to be a group of 30-40 teams in the G5 to seperatre themselves from the rest. They will have scheduling agreements, and will not play the rest of the G5 FBS teams on an equal footing. I'm pretty sure that will universally include the AAC and MWC teams, that currently is about twenty-four teams. That leaves six to sixteen teams. We have not, and are not trying to get into that number. There will be whaling and gnashing of teeth.
The faceless buffoons have warned y'all and begged y'all to take action at Martin Hall only to be lampooned by Jay Walker, and minions of the administration on radio and here.
