Well since its a hypothetical, I will give you the hypothetical answer of yes. Now, knowing the facts on the ground, meaning people actually involved with the AAC Commissioner Mike Aresco, UL's name was not mentioned in the conversation period. This is why people have been urging Dr. Savoie to get Mike Alden and the Marketing people back to campus immediately. Farmer is not capable of dealing with such an undertaking, nor does he have the contacts of Jim Harris when it comes to the AAC.
Big lie that came out of Farmer's pie hole:
"We are doing everything possible to get in front of AAC presidents and make our case".
Completely false. We're closer to doing everything we can to NOT make our case.
We have people like Delhomme and Mitchell, but they are not going to push our leaders like Louisiana Tech's former athletes do. It's the sad history of our program, but that is why Louisiana Tech has such football tradition, it's the level of involvement of former athletes and their connections.
I'm not the smartest guy in the room and have sometimes been said to be one can short of a six pack, but if Jim Harris truly has contacts with people in the AAC, maybe it would be wise to at least give Jim the ability to speak to those contacts on UL's behalf and introduce the UL administration to his "friends" so they can start a dialog.
