The laziness of the administration is fully evident in the last minute of the interview. Dave asked Scott if they are doing a cost analysis on joining different conferences… Scott brought up a point that I thought about the second someone mentioned a cost analysis for conference realignment, in that you won't know who's in the conference until the dominos start moving. This is very true Scott, however, it's not difficult to create a cost analysis for the current AAC and CUSA landscape, follow some of the realignment rumors and adjust your cost analysis accordingly, creating multiple reports for different scenarios. The majority of the different reports would contain the same info, but slightly adjusted for the different potential scenarios. Today, we know who is in the AAC. We also know who the BIG12 is discussing taking on. Create a few reports using the different teams being discussed as potential suitors and your job is done. Cost analysis is a projection, not an actual account. This shows that either Scott is so tied up trying to clean up the mess he made with the Tigue that he has no time to do this, or that he just doesn't care and it's "too much work" but either way, more mud on the face.
We should also already have individual reports of every single FBS school in the country. What it would cost to travel to said school for every single sport. If you have these individual school reports, cost analysis using hypothetical scenarios for potential conference realignment, it is literally plug and play. We all know you like to divvy up your work and pass it down to your subordinates, so get them on this Scott. It will make your job a lot easier, and make you look smarter in the process.
