I would love to have that big fast wide receiver that gave us fits for a half!

Beating out Southern, or any other FCS (1-AA) school, is no cause to celebrate. UL should never have to compete with them for recruits.

Celebrate this: The Daily Advertiser is reporting that Dallas Pinkston RB Aaron Spikes, a former Texas Tech commit, has pledged to sign with the Cajuns on Wednesday, according to sources close to program.

Bumps 2010 signing class to 24.

I thought he decided to visit KSU or Kansas this past weekend instead of coming in for a visit here. You sure about that JP?

Spikes visited Utah but committed to the Cajuns within the hour.

Spikes just confirmed his commitment to the Cajuns via text message a few minutes ago.

If he signs, and for some reason Houston Bates signs... It would be the best UL recruiting class for UL in a while.

I think I'm liking our chances of having a good RB this season between all of our potential signings.

Bates will not sign. Unfortunately, it's really not his decision and he will likely grayshirt.

A quick internet search shows he is rated in the top 70 RBs in the country. Nice offers from many BCS programs. Too cold in Utah.

Top recruit of the class so far?

Absolutely. We have nobody that could be as big of a difference maker in the freshman class as this guy seems to be.
