We don't have time to move him to running back? But A QB can come in and compete to start and learn the whole offense in 4 weeks? Why couldnt he learn protections while injured in the spring?

At the end of last season, learning ruining back was all he deserved to be doing.

No, it isn't easy teaching all of the RB assignments. But some of best yet started as freshmen. Nixon can learn to be a RB. I don't care if he swings under center for short yardage. How much working out at QB does that require? But if Hud has it in his head that Nixon can split fall drills as QB and RB. he'll end up with nothing.

First, we better be stacked at RB, without using Eli as a ram rod. Second, Hud needs to go back and look at video of Nixon last year. That last statement kind of bothers me. Hud was actually on the sidelines witnessing failure with his own eyes, and he still kept pounding a square peg in a round hole.

It concerns me that this is even being discussed right now. Again, Hud better be stacked at RB, without using Eli to pound the pill against a wall.

Hud was just on with Dave Schultz (who opened the show with the song "Heat of the Moment"-LOL), and while discussing QBs, Nixon was never mentioned. He talked about the competition between Jennings and Davis, and how their styles and skill sets are similar.

If Nixon is solely a QB, it didn't sound like we will see much of him

I think Farmer and Savoie are slowly, chemically lobotomizing Hudspeth.

I remember when Brian Mitchell was asked, after he filled in as the 3rd QB in a Redskins game. "Are you going to be a QB like you were in college?". Brian said, "No way. I'm a RB. You cannot bulk up to be a RB and throw the ball well."

Nixon needs to work out like a RB, think like RB, train like a RB, and play RB. He can still come in and do the wildcat short yardage stuff. If he's relegated to QB workouts to start this season, he will not be an effective RB.

Keep all QB position players out of the upper body weight room.
