Come meet the Ragin' Cajuns and view the new turf field at "The Tigue" on Saturday, Feb. 6 during Fan Day 2010 festivities. Gates open at 11 a.m.
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will host its annual Fan Day festivities on Saturday, Feb. 6 at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field. Gates will open at 11 a.m.
The event will give fans the opportunity to meet the 2010 Ragin' Cajuns and take a glimpse at the new artificial playing surface that will debut during the 2010 season.
There will be complimentary hot dogs and Coca-Cola products. The Diamond Darlings will be handing out free autograph books while supplies last. Fans will also be able to pick up Ragin' Cajuns baseball posters and pocket schedules.
Fans will get their first up-close look at this season's Ragin' Cajuns team during an autograph session that will last until 12:30 p.m. In addition to current student-athletes, former Cajuns and current professional players will also be on hand to sign autographs.
In addition to autographs, fans will get the chance to walk on the new artificial turf field that was recently installed.
The event wraps up with a home run hitting contest at 12:30 p.m., followed by an abbreviated game featuring the Cajuns vs. Pros at 1 p.m.
The UL Bookstore will be on hand for fans interested in purchasing Ragin' Cajuns apparel. Ticket Manager Shivaun Bertrand will be available to handle ticket inquiries.
