Any chance the lights will be toned down a bit? I would like lights focused on the court and not so much on the stands. Every time I walk up to my seats it's like the entire dome can see me...I hate that.

I thin the new lighting system will have various different things they can do with them instead of just on/off like currently.

Yes, improving the lighting system is a big part of the renovation. It will not only help with costs, it will greatly improve the game day atmosphere:

I love the black seats!

They suck.

They suck the light out of the room which is their intended purpose.

They will look incredible with bodies blocking them.

Digital lenses can capture light better than the naked eye.

This transfers' to the screen.

That article was from February of 2015. They subsequently moved the schedule out further. I think that was because of how the Cajundome was scheduled (i.e. Janet Jackson concert that was cancelled) and obligations they had to fulfill.
