    Morgann Leleux finished in a 4 way tie for 11th with a height of 14', 3 1/4" and qualified for the finals on Sunday.

    Morgann Leleux finished in a 4 way tie for 11th with a height of 14', 3 1/4" and qualified for the finals on Sunday.

    Alena Hrusoci finished 21st out of 24 with a time of 58.98 in the 400 meter hurdles and did not qualify for the European Athletics Championship semifinals.

  8. Ragin' Cajuns Leleux Advances To Finals At U.S. Olympic Trials



    Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns All-American Morgann Leleux moved one step closer to earning a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team as she posted a mark of 14 feet, 3 1/4 inches to finish in 11th place in the women's pole vault at the U.S Olympic Trials on Friday at Hayward Field.

    ---Isn't there a alternate spot that she stays and practices with the team---I know injuries in the past have had lower than 3rd place finishers compete in their place---well pretty sure!!

    She finished 4th at 15'1". Third was 15'5", second was 15'7", and 15'9" won it.

    Unsure on alternate rules, but on a high note, a 4th place finish by a recent graduate means an apparel deal and meets in Europe to make a little cash on the line With that said, 3rd place would have meant the same but lot more leverage to negotiate a better deal.

    Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns All-American Morgann Leleux recorded a personal-best in the pole vault, clearing 15 feet 1 inch, but finished fourth overall on Sunday at the U.S. Olympic Trials at Hayward Field.
