So the average UL fans are fools for not participating on a message board or having the right contacts to ask questions?

Most people get their news from newspapers, local news stations and/or social media.. and none of those have reported anything.

Let's face it, unless you are in the meetings, very close with someone in the meetings, or you are following RP: you most likely are totally oblivious to the sad state of our athletic department and incompetence of our AD.
Let me rephrase. Too many of the RIGHT people know whats going on this time..

Not what I said at all. I said they lack information because we have no local media who demand answers.

The state of UL athletics is so far down on the priority list of the average Joe in Acadiana right now that I have my doubts that the Tigue project will move forward at all right now. Our state is flat broke and only an idiot wouldn't see that more budget cuts are forthcoming. The average citizen of Lafayette doesn't know the difference between a privately funded project and one that is state funded. Those people see any kind of construction for athletics on a college campus and they immediately assume that it is the state that is footing the bill. The administration knows this, and knows how the politicians in BR will react to complaints from voters mad about cuts to their "benefits".

The administration LOVES this, as it gives them a built in excuse to continue be be "business as usual". Let's just overlook the fact that the average Joe is fully capable of understanding the situation, IF ANYBODY ACTUALLY BOTHERS TO EXPLAIN IT TO HIM.

T-Joe and company thrive on public ignorance.

As an example. My father in law, who tailgates with me, goes to all the football games, has season tickets, etc., just like many others, hasn't seen me since the day of the last regional game. We sat together for those games on Monday. I was telling him about all of this info over the weekend, and he had no clue. My wife's nanny who was sitting nearby had no clue either, and she's a big fan too. Somehow though she didn't even know about the NCAA sanctions, bowl victories vacated, or the regular season games vacated yet.

There are many types of Cajun fans. We are the ones that are big fans, die hard, live and breathe by the info and going ons of the Ragin' Cajuns. Another type is the big fan, that only pays their money and goes to games. They are big fans, but just don't live and breathe Cajun news and info. Those people have no clue about what's going on right now with the baseball stadium. Our lovely admin THRIVES on those fans and loves having them. Those fans think everything is alright in #CajunNation. They have no clue that Scott Farmer is a complete and useless buffoon, that right now seems to be faceless himself.

We need our local media (besides 103.7) to grow some and open the regular fans eyes on this!

We may get some construction started by the end of the Presidential elections, but it won't be at the Tigue. It will be at the border because Trump forgot who cuts his grass.
