Listening to BEV. Jay is talking about someone in the Athletic Dept dropping the ball on the Tigue project. Did he just jump on the bandwagon?? Isn't that the reason he quit this site?

So all of a sudden there is a problem.

That would be one of the most awesome ideas ever. Let Section A haggle the other team from right behind the plate while smoke from the pits blows wild across the field and beer flows free. It would definitely be the most unique college baseball experience anywhere.

Can someone please fill me in on what was announced today? All I can gather from this is that someone dropped the ball and maybe the money isn't there anymore. Are we not getting a stadium? Are they going to have to fill in the concrete they broke? What's up?

Jay @jayespn1420 , Luke @ByLukeJohnson My sources told me there will be no announcement until the funds have been allocated to the account.

Thanks T. Well the fact that this isn't at all surprising after all the buildup and talk, says a lot.

It's like shooting a few scenes then releasing a trailer for a big blockbuster movie to get everyone hyped about it. The producers and production company talk it up all year then everyone shows up for day one of the shoot and the producers say "oh no, we're not actually filming yet. Go home and we'll call you when we get the money to pay for everything. Stay excited and watch the trailer a few more times. The real thing is coming and it'll be awesome!"

Well....on the lighter side, The University of Louisiana at Lafayette would like to announce that the Cajun Field Phase 2 project has been pushed to 2025.

No, it's now entering silent phase 2, to be followed by silent phase 3, and so on. Maybe after silent phase 43 they can announce the plans and drawings and have a start date for construction. Then as constructions nears...we'll all learn that we only had $8M for a $65M project!!!

But it won't matter anyway all of the die hard fans will be long gone!

Keep Section A in Section A. They serve a purpose but I prefer to keep my distance.
