What a fun team to watch. Seeing their reaction after that was 10 minutes of pure enjoyment. I see a lot of 2014 in them. I see a lot of us as a program in them.

Coach Gilmore seems like a good egg. Could have moved on from his alma mater many years ago, but stayed with his program and built it up. Very Robe-like.

CCU's coach didn't exactly baby his pitchers either... but as I said before.. sometimes pitch counts are overrated

He gave them rest unlike Arizona...rest is more important than high pitch counts in an outing... Bannister threw like 220 pitches in 3 days at our regional and it may have cost them a title

Raising the trophy for the "G5." I'm really happy for those guys. Wish it could have been a Sun Belt National Championship, but our future conference mates have definitely done something special.

Asked about Bannister and his over use. He didn't say much but said if the Red Sox didn't want to pay him what he's worth (he was drafted in the 4th round I think), he'd be happy to have Bannister back.
