Whether it's 13, 14 or 18 million where is that money going to be financed? Where was the 3 million going to be financed when the price tag was 10 million?

He clearly stated Dr. Savoie approved the renderings for project costing between $16 million to $17 million because he wanted done right. The addition cost for the brick façade runs the cost up to $13 or $14 million, the other coast I don't have all the details but they are definitely not building concessions on one level, but both at the same time. Coach Robichaux was willing to move forward without the brick façade originally.

Originally a $10 million project.

There was $5-6 million raised from various folks. Russo agreed to match with $5 million in incremental payments.

This put us at about $7 million. 70% of the original cost.

And the University was gonna have to get a loan to pay Lemoine in the interim.

Cost went up to somewhere between $17 an $21 million. Is this additional $$$ what the University is now scrambling to get?

Monkee, I think you may have the cart before the horse here. I believe that Russo pledged 5MM in matching funds; then we got pledges for $5MM or $6MM, collecting only $2MM. Russo forks over the first $1MM of his pledge.

We now have $3MM banked, $3MM or $4MM pledged from non-Russo sources, and complete uncertainty as to whether we will ever get another nickle out of Russo, because of his legal issues.

All or some of the uncollected pledges may have stipulations about RCAF separation as a condition of payment, which could affect our ability to collect them.

I agree he should never offer fall back of borrowed money... First, that borrowed money should have been secured very long ago and should have always been a phone call away. Second, borrowing money was never part of the plan. Third, if you want to talk about all this silent phase nonsense and you never get to the public phase... You better make sure that exactly what is happening now doesn't happen... Which is why what i said first is most important. You have embarrassed one of the best men at this university and a fan base that always wants to give and help. All of this quiet, gag order bullsht... Can you imagine what tony has been going through for the past couple weeks? While our AD is on vacation? And mr moon tried to be a smart az about that too... Uh yeah Scott is on vacation... I take them too. Well mr moon would you schedule a vacation for the weekend of the new orkeans bowl? Would you schedule a vacation during any of the conference tournaments?
