I do not know why this isn't started either. I just think it makes too much sense.

I must preface this with I have never run a fundraiser and there may be a precedent that you run a "silent phase" first to gather as much of the funding as possible, but I don't see why they can't run concurrently.

I've never run one either so I could be completely off base. But think, construction was supposed to start 2 weeks ago?? That means they had ONLY a silent phase. That's it.

Johnny Moon is full of crap. He's giving spotty information. They had 70% pledged of the 10 million dollar price tag. Well, the stadium is going to cost more now. Whether it's 13, 14 or 18 million where is that money going to be financed? Where was the 3 million going to be financed when the price tag was 10 million?

Is it true that T-Joe has walked into multiple banks in the last ten days trying to get financing? If so, why wasnt this legwork done a year or six months ago?

And we had to float a loan. Of course there was to be a TWO WEEK delay after the end of the Regionals and or Super Regionals. Since we did not reach the Super Regionals and if all were ready to go, financing in hand, NTP in Lemoine hands this project would have started a few days after the regional.....AROUND 3 DAMN WEEKS AGO! they were all over espn during the regional saying it was going to 17 and they were ready to go as soon as the supers were over. Now Jay makes it sound like they were surprised by the new cost and that's what is causing this 3+ week delay. Something smells fishy.

I actually thought they had made a mistake when I watched the replay of the game and heard them reference $17M cost. At all the meeting I had attended we were at $11M.
