IMO he'd have to beat Davis hands down. Anything short off that could cause division. Had he competed in the spring it would be seen to be fair.

As head coach it's Hud's responsibility to keep the team together. He failed miserably at this last season. Another melt down would break his credibility.

He's very good. And he could be lights out here. Don't kid yourself... he was not set up to succeed at LSU. I'll leave it at that. He's got mega talent. It will look like our coaches taught him how to throw. I can't say whether JD or someone else will beat him out of the start... but if they do... we've got a serious amount of talent at QB.

Not intentionally. He's here to play this year. He's got work to do and a competition ahead of him. But don't think for a second that he or Hud are thinking about saving him for "next year".

I'll take your word for it. I didn't see lsua&m play, so I don't know what we've got in Jennings, except he was a highly rated recruit and he started and won in the SEC. That's not bad. I'm a little concerned with the talk about accuracy. It's one of my favorite attributes of a QB. I hope it's better than Nixon and at least as good as Broadway his Junior year (Senior year was not good).

I'm not going into great detail on here about LSU... as you can appreciate. Jennings brings as accurate of an arm as anyone you've seen play at UL in a long time. Good luck to LSU in making any QB look good. This is a nice situation for UL.

I'm hoping this transfer doesn't divide the locker room and create the same type of lack of team chemistry situation as last season.

Unless our coaches have been coaching 5th grade girls, I think that won't be a problem. Any player on our team that doesn't want his team to succeed needs to leave immediately. I actually think that once Jennings is in the grind with everyone, if he's good at his role, it will create better team chemistry.
