I saw that. what is the reason? was he hurt or something?
He barely played in 2 games is what the article said...I think it would be a special circumstance where he could claim that as a redshirt year and he may be eligible because his grades are in order. I would imagine similar to the waiver Jamal Robinson received.

During those two games, Jennings did not register any running or passing stats. In the past, the NCAA has granted hardship waivers for players that have participated in 4 games or less. I seem to recall Justin Venable being on the Cajuns football team for 6-7 years!

No... many students that went to LSU believe that at least one year of their life was wasted. You can't get back the entire time you were there... but sometimes they'll give you "a year back" essentially as hush money for not telling everyone what happened to you.

I dont think it would be good, doesnt sound like a hardship to me. Some without degrees or a chance to go to grad school for free might think they have liitle more hardship in their lives

Somebody will be playing football here on that scholarship, I don't care if it's him. If being at lsu blew his chances at an NFL career...id say you could convince the committee that's a hardship. Did Justin Venable really need 8 years?
