The Philadelphia 76ers on Monday called up power forward/center Shawn Long from the NBA Development League’s Sixers-affiliated Delaware 87ers and signed the former UL standout to a 10-day contact.

Only issue he had was a struggle at line with 2 for 7. I am sure nerves responsible for that. Sixer fans very encouraged by his play on one of their chats.

We know Sean history at the free throw line is about 2/3, but he is streaky. Since there is zero difference in an NBA free throw goal and a high school free throw goal I suspect he will continue along his historic average. Might improve with better coaching.

With the right minutes (like 21 perhaps) he easily could have had a double double debut.

Where is Hunter of Georgia State. I know the Celtics cut him but I thought another team picked him up. Maybe he played earlier this season and is now out of the league. I know he is still getting paid as he was a first round draft choice. Those guys have three years of guaranteed salaries. UTA will have an NBA player next year as our coaches think it is certain Hervey will declare for the draft and be a first round pick.

Good point.

Hope he makes a second 10 day contract. Off season should be interesting with Simmons coming back.
