So Kennon Fontenot is not playing baseball this summer? I would think he needs reps, no?

No. I just think the formalized announcement is a new thing.

Right. The school has nothing to do with it. I know Bab helps the guys with getting them to teams.

That being said, I know the coaches make recommendations to the players about whether they should/shouldn't play. I think they are also able to limit the innings pitched by players while participating so as not to overwork arms.

Two notes: Dylan Poncho hit his first HR of the season a few nights back. Jack Burk is a Fr. RS from New Orleans that Coach Robichaux is really high on, could help next season.

Kasuls numbers look brutal. Should we be concerned? Anyone watching him on anigjtly basis?

Well he's not striking out much, so that's a plus. Only 6 K in 15 games which is lowest on the team. 3 for 3 in stolen bases and only 1 error so far.

    Burk's stat line is very impressive--16K's in 9.2 innings--only 2 walks.

    D1Baseball on Leger

He may not be doing it an overpowering way, but Gunner Leger (2017, LHP, Louisiana-Lafayette) has completely overmatched Cape Cod League competition in his four appearances since Wareham activated him. Over 11 scoreless innings of work, Leger has yet to surrender a walk, has struck out 15 and allowed just three hits. That total comes after another dominant three innings of relief work on Monday night against Bourne.
