Well this is going to be interesting. I hope the announcement is to say they have things worked out. I hate to see this happening to coach Robe. I'm thinking the problems with the softball stadium were not contractor problems but money problems.

I think we're way beyond the bid process.

This is from the Lemoine website:

"Contracted by Ragin' Cajun Facilities Corporation and delivered under the Construction Management at Risk approach, this project involves the addition and renovations to The University of Louisiana ... at Lafayette's beloved M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field Baseball Stadium."
    http://www.lemoinecompany.com/projec...eld-renovation

If I'm reading correctly, a contract has been signed.

I can't imagine the state would let the University put the project out to bid let alone sign a contract in excess of $10 million when there is only $3 million available.

As an outsider with no info & confused by all the posts here, what was lied about??:

    A) Big donors with committed $$ for this project being told RCAF would separate and said donors pulled the $$$, hence we're in the boat of no money??

    OR

    B) There were never any big donors outside of Russo, hence no more than $1 mill to kick the project off??

Too much chatter w/o rebuttal. Something HAS to be said. If real bad, they will probably try to dump it right before the weekend

You beat me to it: the ULS board would have had to review and approve everything. So if what is being said here is true, and I'm not denying it, then it would go up to the state/ULS level.

Their M.O. has been take the heat, no response, let it die a slow death, then it goes away. Not sure that will work this time, though.
