I'm not trying to be difficult, but can our project.....or any project in the ULS for >$10 million dollars.....just be approved based on a master plan and a statement that we will pay for via donor funds? Without having to prove that we have those funds on hand?

I don't have that answer, but you can email either of our representatives on the board. I'm not about to challenge either one on the legality of approving the project. It all starts and ends with the actions of the individual that was given authority over the project. It's the same person that had the authority over the Lamson Park project.

Why? It's our face with egg on it? It would be our private money wasted in design... Our embarrassment... Our problem. of it was all approved in the master plan and would all be on our dime, why would they care? If we raise $17 million can we build a $ 17 million stadium? Yeah sure, we approve, don't come ask us for money though.

For example, if what you say is true, mcneese could contract to have a $100 million dollar badminton court constructed and approved. Should they not have the funds to actually cover the project the state would eventually be left holding the bag. In other words, the taxpayers would be paying for that badminton court.

I agree with you! I don't get all this how can the board approve this questions when the problem is ours because the same individual responsible for the Lamson Park problems mislead people again. The UL System Board did their job, they are not responsible for our incompetence.

Nope....the badminton court could not be built aND the project would not be started.....no money to pay for it....

With all that you state, one has to completely ignore the fact certain criteria were committed to by our administration and people were mislead to get us to this point. The UL System Board is not our problem, the person who is the face of your athletic program is our problem.

We are HAVING to acquire a loan because of lies and incompetence.....whether or not this project is going to be done half assed I can't say. Whether or not it's still a 17 million dollar peoject? Who knows....all I know it this thing has been Swaaaaaaalaaaaaaed.
