Question:

Would it be beneficial or detrimental to contact those in the media via email, twitter, instagram etc etc asking about updates or pictures of the upgrade?

Should we email KATC and KLFY? Should we hit @tigue up on twitter? Should we hit up the media members on twitter and whatnot? Would it help?

I don't think so since they want you the reader to follow them. They are interested in driving traffic to their work, so why not?

I have been doing this for weeks. As Cajun T said earlier, they need names to be able to print. Those media guys are chomping at the bit to get the story. They are hearing the same things many of us are being told and in some cases can slightly confirm. There's plenty of smoke here. In my opinion, the gag order is the biggest teller.

I've been saying we were up a doo doo creek for a while now. When the biggest contractor lines up ONE piece of equipment and gives you a po for roughly 4 days......you know something's up.

The point here is that one NEVER lets out construction bids until all the money [whether cash or financing] is secured. I am not entirely certain how the public bid law works for universities, but it may actually be illegal for the university to grant a construction bid without having all the money secured.

Not saying it is, because I have not done the research; just that it may be.

Maybe some research is in order prior to calling local college administrators possible crooks.

FACTS: The stadium had a projected start date. Weeks have passed and the planned construction has not yet started.

QUESTION: How is asking, "Why hasn't the construction begun?" calling anyone a crook?
