I have the same ? What will constitute improvement sufficient for staff to be retained. I would think third in the conference regular season and tournament finals would be enough for retention. I know that will not be enough for many fans but it will probably be enough for the administration. I think fourth place or below results in change. Just speculating here. I really have no idea what will be sufficient.

If they don’t get to the ncaa tournament then Bob needs to go. Period

No one seems to remember that the reason he was given an extension and raise 2 years ago was because he won the regular season championship in 2018. The school was contractually obligated to give that auto extension because of the contract he had signed that pre-dated Dr. Maggard. Marlin actually waited a year to sign the extension per request from Dr. Maggard.

Like, I said earlier that is probably what most fans think. Administration probably will give a little more leeway. For example, they will not make a change with a regular season title and tournament finals loss.

And that would be a stupid decision.
We have lost the basketball fanbase in this town...

Don't worry, chances of that happening are highly unlikely.

I’d be willing to bet that as long as he is the head man in charge we will not come close to winning either the regular season nor tourney title. Even in the ____ty sun belt

Regardless of if its true or not, this is what most common followers of Ragin Cajuns basketball believe.. Which is why it'll be interesting to see what the Admin does next offseason..

If they extend him again our entire group of 10 is giving up their Rcaf and season tickets across every sport.

There was a time when that was a train full of haters. Now they are proved to be the first to recognize a mediocre coach past his prime.
