Yeah, the rendering looks like the same photo as the third base photo that is in place now on the outer/lower brick wall. We'll see.

Now I think the trees in the front should be removed to showcase the structure better. Just some nice landscaping smaller trees would be nice

And no it will not go underneath the existing bleachers. At least that is the last I heard.
This is the visual of the plaza near the baseball stadium. You can clearly see there will be no parking on the third base side of the stadium, only walkways. It was a in a gathering I was told by someone in the program that the batting cage area was being looked at for the clubhouse and coaches offices. That will give ready access to parking as you mentioned and would be a nice new facade fronting Reinhardt. My question would be would we then move the home dugout to the first base side.

My idea for the facility would be a three story facility with a roof deck for guests (or rental) and indoor hitting/pitching/locker room on the ground level, lounge/meeting/study areas on the second floor, and coaches offices and meeting rooms on the third floor. If the roof deck isn't an option, I'd go with balconies on the east (field) side to give seating for coaches/players/guests or even the north and east sides. Sorry, just imagineering.

It is fluid but you are on the mark with the idea.

    Very good ideas!

Yeah, I was not taking into consideration what will be in place once the Cox is gone, and the plaza is built, so along the 1st baseline makes sense.
Question: what is the building that is right after the current batting cage area. Looks like it was built at the same time as the Cox, but I've never been sure what was in it. In other words, would they be able to raze everything from the end of the bleachers to the out field to build the new clubhouse/etc.? Or is there any part that we would like to see remain? Thx

Yeah I misspoke. I meant to say there was no opening there behind the cladding. Solid wall

I really agree with this: seems to me that now all the trees do is block the view....maybe once we needed that (lol) but not anymore. Plant shorter trees along the façade/plaza that only go up to around the top of the first floor.....provides shade and greenery without ruining the site of the new building.
And while we are at it, get rid of the ***gosh darn*** crepe myrtles in front of Dupre and the alumni house.......they both completely block both buildings. Drives me crazy, lol

If you're talking about near the batting cages that was an old building for track use (if I'm not mistaken). I think all of that space would be used.

Correct, that was the old track lockerooms and equipment storage building. It was a dump during my time there.

The trees in the front just need to be cleaned up real nice, absolutely no reason to cut them down.
