Not much brick work left to do. They should be finished shortly. They will need to install the cast stone facade around the third base entrance like they are putting on the first base entrance now.

It just keeps looking better each day!
For tonight's game.
Due to construction, only the first base gate located next to the Cajun Cooking Club will be used for entrance to tonight's McNeese contest at Russo Park. The main gate located at the corner of Stadium Drive and Reinhardt Drive will be closed. We thank everyone for their patience as we continue to make progress toward the completion of the renovations to Russo Park.
Brick layers are quickly running out of things to do.
So Tigue/Russo gets named the "Brick House".......might not be a bad nickname as it will be kind of intimidating as one first observes it!!!
I stand by my statement: the possum box may be bigger and cost more, but we have a more up to date facility that has better amenities. Having the entire grandstand raised a whole story for the main concourse is just genius and really knocks it out of the park (pun intended), IMHO. Not to mention that overall it is waaaaaaay better looking aesthetically.
Over the last few days, and especially today after seeing the latest pic of what the interior looks like, I keep going back to what some wise folks said before the USM series: despite not being finished, from that point on we would be in a fantastic facility......and that it would just keep getting better and better. How very very true.
The Tigue/Russo Park project is further proof then that we can do much more with less; the results of our 16m project far exceed (imo) the 60m for the box (not my numbers but using the yokel).
We have a very, very nice facility that continues to look better each day.
I am thankful to each and every individual that has given to this project!
