    Cajundiehard,

We are testing out a new type of tarp for Laturd, just in case they want to replace or add more blue ones.

I am requesting more construction pictures, please. Some of you have had opportunities to take some updated pictures which I appreciate. Apparently, Brad Kemp is the only media member that takes pictures regularly, but he hasn't posted pictures in a while. Can't count on the athletics department to do it.

I'm sure Brad will post something soon. He is part of the athletic department, not the media.

Haha! Speaking of tarps... I'm not sure what they are thinking as far as netting in front of or above the grandstand to prevent balls from coming into the grandstand (like softball)... But, just a thought... instead of netting above the grandstand, why not put some large tarp that would also provide much more shade to much more of the grandstand...

Looks like they're starting the metal facade at the top of the stadium today. The also extended the 3rd base side scaffolding frames higher since they were nearing the top of them yesterday. Lots of brickwork still going on

Actually saw some of that yesterday along the left field line section.

Yes, starting at the far end if the 3rd base side. I was wonderering what the material would look like, but it matches the roof. Duh. Looking good.

Not sure if you were kidding, but I've been saying for a while the some type of sun-blocking tarp coming from the end of the roof downward would be great. It would offer a lot of protection from the sun, could be rolled back when not needed and could attach to the net system. But I guess it's not feasible or they would've already done this?

The wind and rain loads would result in much more substantial structure and restricted lines of sight in order to support it.

If I was Brad Kemp and had access to the sight like he does I would take some pictures. I took loads of them when the end zone at Cajun Field was being constructed. Brad can just walk in at will.
