I just went look at LaTurds field online and wow, I thought our stadium needed an upgrade..........
Getting some good work done today. It looks like some of the facade immediately in front of the close up camera eill be stucco.
What is the black coating?
Dare I ask? Do you have a professional-based opinion on where we will be by 03.03.17? Seems to me like they are moving at a fast clip now it getting at all closed in. Idk how much longer after that happens it will take to get it all done. Also, if the seats and their supports are pre-cast, seems like they will go up real fast as soon as they are ready for them.
From what it looks like in the renderering, there will be beige stucco for ~5 ft along the entire grandstand base, the arches over the entry points and the arches along the 1st and 3rd baselines. IDK if the black portion along the fourth (top) story will also be stucco or some other material?
I will preface this by saying all of my opinions are just that,... my opinion. It is based on what I see on the construction cam. I have no inside information nor am I connected with the project in any way.
So from what I can see it appears that this project cannot afford any delays whatsoever with anything. I would expect the restrooms and concession facilities for the first games of the season to be Spartan at best. As the walls go up we will be seeing less and less of what is going on inside so it will be difficult to determine progress. The ultimate authority on occupancy is the Fire Marshall and Department of Health. If they aren't happy, then nobody is happy. It is what it is.
