Yes because Farner knew we would have almost 3 months of no rain in our typically dry climate. That is the only reason this could even be a possibility.

That is about a week better than what I thought would be our best hope. I know there were suppose to be discussions again last week so I'll assume this was the outcome.

Everyone needs to understand we aren't talking about moving into a "finished" stadium. It will mean they have gotten the main bowl area far enough along for usage. There will still be a considerable amount of work to get done.

This doesn't happen if we don't have great weather and an incredible general contractor.

I suspected that they were altering the construction path and time line. They are concentrating effort on that portion of the stadium that was torn down. With not as much attention to that portion that is behind the Bleachers that remained. This will allow for occupancy of the stadium HOWEVER, it won't be finished. The upper level concourse along the first and third base line and that portion of the stadium below that will not be finished. I figure they will have to allow for emergency exits, etc through some construction areas but that is about it. They really have to concentrate on rest rooms and life safety issues in the center section.

I don't think they will have to allow for that much extra in resources though.

I was referring more to the idea of lemoine working day and night. 7 days a week to get it done...that would cost. I also don't want any extra cost to be taken from the budget..either find donors to cover it or the university cover it. I'm good with playing in an unfinished stadium if it means more true home games and keeping the most revenue possible in our pockets. Also giving out team the true homefield advantage they deserve.

Toward the end of construction of the end-zone seating at Cajun Field, they were working 24-7 and week ends to have it ready for August, start of the season. And not just 5-10 men but crews of 20-25. They were building forms and pouring concrete, doing work on the concession stands, etc. I would think they might do the same at the Tigue.

Based on the timeline that has been published they don't need to do that. The weather has allowed them to get slightly ahead of schedule and it appears they haven't had any subs that have fallen behind.

They won't be completed with everything as I noted in another thread but it will be far enough along to not be an issue for the vast majority of fans.

Well let's hope for a sprinkle of rain every now and then, ever two week. Between 7:PM and mid-night. Everything will be dry by start of labor the next morning......

Now that they have MEP on site the items on the critical path are those trades. I don't think the MEP will catch up to steel erection. Weather on MEP at this stage is not as significant. Once they get the building "out of the weather" they can work every day.

Steel erection is not only dependent on rain but wind. High wind will shut steel erection big time. Why do you think they have a flag at the end of the boom on the crane?

They had a different timeline for penalty. Lemoines deadline for the baseball stadium is not the start of the season. 2 different situations.

Boomer, I quoted your post. You did say "he." I thought the same thing that he posted about, but I assumed it was just a typo on your part.
