They are wrecking forms this morning.
It's no problem. They just need to be careful around it for a few days. Most curbing and paving is done by "slip form" method. That is with no forms. It is high early strength and close to zero slump. Concrete pipe is made with zero slump concrete. It's all good, believe me.
They are backfilling between the footings now. They have moved the forms to the right of the camera and will be doing footings in that area. We will not be able to see what they are doing because of the way the camera is set up. The next thing to do directly in front of the camera is the Slab on Grade. This will happen after the finish with the footings to the right of the camera screen. When the finish with the slab on grade I will be able to get an idea of they schedule.
Looks like they are finishing up with the backfill of the footings placed this week and are moving on to the section to camera right.
Got a little more info. The stadium will be structural steel supports with pre-cast concrete. I'm not positive but reading between the lines I think it might be a hybrid system by Dant-Clayton. It has been used extensively in other projects. This should allow for a quicker buildout over an all cast in place build. Steel should start going up in approximately two weeks if the weather holds and no issues arise with the SOG. Once steel goes up I think they are going to try and get a better idea on the true timeline.
