____, why did they have to cover up the fence at the top of the section? That little piece of airflow makes a big difference.

Went walking through new stadium this morning. Very impressive and well laid out. I do have one small complaint/concern.

Underneath the older bleachers on the third and first base lines it's still that ugly gravel instead of concrete and weeds are growing through it. With all that money spent to make this a beautiful atmosphere the gravel and weeds takes away from it.

Pretty sure that maintenance will be dealt with closer to the stadium being open to customers. I understand your thought on it with possible visitors. They don't want to concrete this area as it will be in future improvements when the bleachers are replaced and the grandstand extended to these areas. Until then, why spend the money on concrete.

That may very well be true but I'm sure that is years down the road. In the meantime they need to dress that area up or put up some chain link fencing with wind screens around that to hide from fans.

Looks like its stuck on August 1. I doubt if the will repair the problem being that the construction is over.

What's with all that limestone at the third base steps, and along the ramp?

That's the old parking area. I assume no parking will be aloud there. Maybe they are holding back until the area will be converted into the so called square when Cox is a thing of the pass. Let's build the new club house and get the wrecking ball swinging to take down that dump called Cox.....The new golf club house at Oakborne cost $600K, so I would say $1.5m+ should take care of Cox, the square and new club house. Chump change for a few donors in Lafayette. 100K for 15+ big wigs. I'm good for $100.00......
