Frenchie, let me ask you; when you found out where your seat location was going to be did you inquire about moving it? It is my understanding these initial seat locations are (just like was done in the Cajundome) an effort to place you near your original seat(s).
The configuration is now different at the Tigue and nobody can place everybody in their "favorite" locations; so they did a best effort and at some point, if you do not like your seat location, you will have the opportunity to schedule a time to move them.
In his earlier posts Frenchie said the top rows had already been filled. At least that's my memory. Matt Casbon advised him seats that never existed before were already assigned to other people.
Look I wasn't trying to be an _____ about this like some assume I was. I have been seated and will watch my and your Cajuns from my spot. Back several weeks, before Mat started assigning seats, I e-mailed him, and I know he got it because I got conformation he did, I asked Mat if he could see fit to assign section 108 row 17 seats 1-18 to the dirty dozen and 1/2, the living and the ones that took the place of our dear beloved ones that have passed away. After I mention this I started getting negative post about me trying to place this group if possible. The reason for row 17 was to continue putting up the K's. It was and ideal section to do so with the camera section hand rails behind seats 12-13 which I requested to be seated. If all of this was improper, I apologize. I can't explain my reasoning anymore than this. This would have also place this group together like they have been for the last 38 years.......
I'm sure lots of people would like to do lots of different things but how do you do it? Without it being a total cluster phq. Change isn't easy, we had a guy in charge who helped reseat Indiana basketball. Once you start reshuffling it would be chaos. They protected the season ticket holders seats and offered the newly available seats to new tickets holders that helped pay for the stadium. No season ticket holder was booted for "big money Johnny come lately" which was everyone's fear in the beginning. Some people will just never be happy...I call them miserable.
and if you would have said it like this, no one would have had a problem. you worded it in a way that you were pssed they didnt put you where you want to the point that you were giving up on cajuns baseball.
not one person would have had a problem with you requesting anything and accepting the decision that was given to you.
with that, im glad you arent giving up on the cajuns, we need all the support we can get
He reminds everyone he is the victim of push back and he didn't do anything. I just remind people of why he got pushback. Jim Harris, Robe and the department handled it the best way they knew how...where are all the other 3199 season ticket holders that got screwed? I feel like they got it about as right as they could have. He didnt admit he did in fact get his seat...he just didn't get a wall behind him. The department did what they promised to do...offer long time ticket holders a chance to keep their seat. That's exactly what they did. Nobody was done wrong by the athletic department.
