I passed by the stadium this morning and saw only a few minor things to be done on the exterior envelope. There is very little material and equipment stored on site. If it wouldn't be so wet they could dress up the site next week and finish the walk ways and lighting.
The pictures don't show any fencing around the front. Do you think wrought iron fencing will be installed like they had at the old stadium? If not it will be open where anyone can walk up to the gates at both 3rd and 1st base entrances.
There's no need for fencing. The structure is so large and close to the street that there's no room for it and it would take away from the look of the stadium. The stadium serves as a big brick wall anyway. As mentioned, the wrought iron gates and the entrance ways are all that is needed.
One area I'm not sure about is down the lines behind the metal bleachers. Those areas looked to have a shorter brick wall with the columns coming out of them. I don't know how that's closed off or if those brick walls are tall enough.
I'm not sure about the final product, but I am confident that stadium security has been factored into the design.
The rendering has no fencing around the site. Entrance is controlled at the gates. The perimeter of the stadium is brick. They will probably put a fence where the bleachers are. It will be just like a building downtown with a sidewalk adjacent to it.
The buildings downtown has metal doors with double locks on them and alarms. Russo Park has an eight foot wrought iron gate that is shaped like a ladder that can be climbed over. I am sure that they will have surveillance cameras installed but it will not be break in proof. But like I said, so be it.
