Lots of work going on this morning.
Helmut: isn't the grandstand seating going to be pre-cast/made off-site? Do we know where it's being made and an approx date it will get here? Also, I've been wondering how will they be able get it in, over the over-hangs and without going on the field? Any info you can give on this would be appreciated.
Not sure where it is made, but they purposefully did not complete a section of grand stands to allow heavy machinery and large building materials to be brought in by crane or truck
If you look at the far camera shot you will see a gap in the first level on the left hand side. There is a similar gap at the same location on the first base side. These are the two locations where they will get material and equipment in and out. I suspect that the seating areas will be precast if concrete ir prefabricated if metal. These locations will be where they get the seating modules in. I suspect they will ne put in place with fork lifts. I also suspect they will be aluminum. It will be a tight working soace when that happens.
There is probably 25-30 workers on site rite now
The opening is to left or right of the staircase? If it's to the right you are referring to, on the rendering that is an entry point into the arena. For now, it sure would be a tight working space to get the grandstand pieces in. If it's to the left, I can't really see it well. But in any event, I know there will be a way to do it and it will get done....just kinda hard trying to visualize how they will do it. Thankfully they are not reliant on me, lol. Thanks again for your input.
Oh, and I see lots of people working this morning.
It is the opening to the right of the stairwell. There is a similar opening on the first base side but it is to the left of the stair well. Earlier this morning there were guys working on man lifts. I think they found the steel too wet to work on and they stopped. I'm sure the safety guy ead not happy with them working on wet slippery steel. Just sayin.
