They've added some scaffolding to add the cast stone trim of the arch and all alongside the entrance, and also to finish the brick section directly atop the arch

Do you think that they are going to leave the sections surrounding the exterior open to where you can see the underbelly of the grandstand?. I guess they're leaving it open for airflow? I personally would like to see some type of louvers installed.

No, I don't think that they'll leave it open......see post #1898.....but I do believe that is the most popular question as the construction winds down.

Thanks, that post was referring to the gray part below the windows. By the renderings, it looks like below the gray part is open. It just looks unfinished to me in the rendering.

So more than likely the old structure club house will be torn torn down or used for storage or offices not certain .
Pretty sure it will be on Reinhardt where the current batting cages are located, definitely not under any grandstand.

I suggested that as an idea a while back. Relocate tennis facility across from Lamson at the old intramural fields. You have parking across Cajundome Blvd and on Coliseum drive. That would open up plenty of space for indoor cages and clubhouse on the 3rd base side.

No work today. Raining pretty hard now and not stopping any time soon.

Build it at the new intramural field between that building, whatever it is, and sorority houses. You have a lot of wasted space there. An all the parking you need for tennis.

Below the windows are a grey, metal portion. Below the grey metal portions are the now open spaces. If you look at the rendererings, these seem to be covered by graphic-covered screen/louvers.

That's what I say. Or if that doesn't work, across from Bourgeois hall....although I like how that space has turned into a very nice little green space with a walking trail, etc., and the master plan leaves it way.
In any evet I think the only real solution to the space issue at Russo park is to relocate the tennis facilities. Once you do that it opens up the whole area.

That does not fix it. Keep in mind once the cox building is gone and the plaza is in place you now have logistics issues getting back down the third base line. You also lack infrastructure (i.e. sewer, water, electrical). Move over to the first base line and you have easy parking access and are located much closer to existing infrastructure.

And no it will not go underneath the existing bleachers. At least that is the last I heard.
