    Some features:

Ultraviolet inhibitors prevent cracking and resist sun fade, and cast iron standards also create exceptional durability and strength. Self-rise hinge design is open, allowing water and other liquids to pass through, thereby preventing rust and corrosion of metal parts. By casting the hinge mechanism into the standard, American Seating provides for consistent seat height throughout the row. Seats rise to 3/4 fold position to allow maximum row clearance for easy access and egress, as well as hands-free sitting. Multi-step finish ensures longevity of exposed cast iron components. A wide array of sizes, options and accessories are available, as well as custom molded colors and standard options. ADA compliant.
Yep I read that too. Good stuff. I was responding to another poster who said he would prefer different arm rests. I think these are absolutely top notch and thus nothing to complain about.

But, this is raginpagin so people will find anything to complain about.

I drove up to and and the packaging stickers on the boxes confirmed as much. It said American Seating Company seat 507E. So naturally I looked it up... here you have it, the 507 Series. Check them out here.

According to Bab, the color we are going with is gray. Although they would look great in red, I understand the fading concern. Nonetheless, these are really nice.
The standards (metal armrest legs etc.) will be Red. The seats are a "dark grey". Cupholders will be on the back of the seats.

Installation will start this week and they can install 200-300 a day. Will probably be installing up to the point of opening day. Approximately 80 or so seats won't be installed under the press box area at this time because of on going work in that area.

It's been announced for weeks that we would....when they came out with the statement of "general admission, based on seating area (chairback and bleachers)"

Actually, this is how RP works:

If you state an opinion of what you like, you are chastised for complaining.
If you state an opinion of optimism and hope, you are chastised for being a "farmer's boy" or "Sunshine pumper."

Neither one bothers me very much, lol.

ETA: and the new seats look fantastic, BTW.

Did they stop at the current level due to weather or is this about the height you thought they would stop to let the mortar cure? Thanks

All this talk about cup holders makes me wonder if y'all go to the games to drink or watch the game. Just sayin. I think there are some old seats near the Cox building. Maybe you need to go take a look at those and compare. Just sayin again.
