Yeah....that was kind of my point with a couple of posters over the past few months. From day one this place will be light years ahead of what we had.

    Agree...but someone will always complain.

What a minute...am I complaining now? Damn it.

That would free up the area where the courts are now for the new field house, and would also solve the issue with the courts blocking extension of the bleacher section.

Too bad costs would probably prohibit that. But we should get Harris & Maggard working on it, lol.
What I think would be better would be if the university could purchase the piece of land just across the neighborhood fence behind the current match tennis courts. You could move tennis there, but you'd still have the issue with parking.

If Intramurals are moving to the new fields then put Tennis across from Bourgeois Hall where the old flag football fields are...parking at Bourgeois/Lamson and the print shop.

Both interesting thoughts, but look at the map: looks to me that there is enough room for the courts at the corner of Reinhardt and Stadium, where the paved parking lots end. This would provide more parking for the tennis folks, while not taking away from the main parking lot. And we would not have to purchase extra property.

This would leave lots of room for the new clubhouse, plus give space to expand down the third baseline.

If I follow you that would mean taking away a large number of tailgating spots that are revenue producing. That isn't going to happen.

The other issue is the infrastructure that would be required to get around to the third base area in question.

This was the lot I was referencing, but while the extra property would be nice it's probably not big enough for very many courts. It would probably be big enough for one indoor tennis court for inclement weather.

I've stated it a bunch of times, but I always thought the area across the Cajundome Blvd tunnel from Lamson Park where they do intramurals would be a great additional parking/tailgate area. You could build in/out access from Cajundome Blvd and would be great primary parking for softball and secondary parking for Bourgeios and football/basketball if needed. It could also be used for the fraternity houses. There are plenty of times where parking for softball at Cajun Field is a pain due to other events and this would be an easy fix. That being said, I don't think they would do it as I think they'd rather keep it as a green space.

Safe to say if the crowds make noise like they did in the past it is going to be a lot louder at the tigue!

This is what I meant by the parking shortage once the plaza is completed.
