Rumor has it that it will be vertical slats (louvered) that can be opened or closed as needed. If this is the case it will look like the already installed metal panels when closed but can be opened on need for the air flow mentioned. That I think would be pretty cool.

a number of mlb stadiums have those same openings on the exterior where you can see the underside of the stadium seating, it isnt that big of a deal. look at yankee stadium, coors field, citi field

What is behind those openings? Are there concession stands? Seems like bad weather could severely damage or dampen those exposed areas.

No concessions, only large corridors. Rain won't have any effects.

Airflow under and through the seats is in vogue.

I also feel like they missed big time on the design of the grandstand. Would have been better to have a split level with a walkway separating 2 levels.
As it is now, the 1st 6-10 rows have people CONSTANTLY walking right in your view of the action. Worst seats in the house if you ask me. JMO
That will be fixed once the club room and upper concourse are open. People entering will use the elevators to club room and concession on upper concourse during the game

Somehow, I don't see that happening.

Doesn't mean it shouldn't be corrected. I know when I pick my seats it has to be row 11+. It's wrong. Bottom line. The end.
