I'm happy to notice they replaced a couple of the burnt/broken lights under the awning down the first base line. Any idea if and when they will hang the illuminated Russo Park sign on the far lefthand side of the grandstand brick (looking at the suites from the field)? All the renderings of the stadium had it. Once up it will really compliment the park at night.

That would seem to be very distracting to players and looks bad on tv. During a day game shadows block it out, but at night it is all lit up and just doesn't look good on tv. Putting up a screen of some kind to block some of this activity would appear to be needed. JMO.

I love how you can see into the concessions and what not. It also creates a homefield advantage.

I'm pretty sure the stadium was designed that way to allow folks at the concession stands to be able to watch the game action while purchasing refreshments. I could care less what it looks like on TV. The new stadium was built to accommodate the fans that actually purchase tickets and attend the games in person to cheer on the Cajuns. I realize that not all fans can attend all of the games and some live out of town and/or out of State but by making the park fan friendly, it really helps those in attendance.

The stadium was specifically designed to allow fans to watch from the concourse while getting concessions, etc.

They have monitors while you are at the concession stands or just walking and BSing with some fans. They have screens that you can see one way only. Install them so as you can only see out and not into the concession area.....so that way you can have your cake, and eat it to, (watching the game form concession area) but can't see in from the field.

I've never been to a home game since the new stadium so i've got to watch all the games on tv. With that said, the stadium looks like an amusement park with the cotton candy, lemonade, pretzels, and whatever else they have there. Are these separate vendors from the university that cannot be housed in the same area as the regular concessions? If not, could they be moved from where they are now or is there no room for that?

I actually think it could be an advantage for our team who's used to seeing it, at least initially. After the first batter or two, I think it becomes like a free throw in basketball with the background blending into "noise" from the pitchers perspective. If you referencing just TV, I really don't care about that view as this if for the fans at the stadium, not on the TV. Get your butt to the game.

Everyone is entitled to their preferences. I’m fine with it. The stadium is for the fans in attendance, and we like to watch and purchase goodies.
