Summer Beer Thread - 2016

Z, you know us boys from the Nort'side were ahead of our time. In the early 80s we got the finest of brews, Tuborg Gold, from Minute Mart. Went well with various other types of gold.

The old Minute Mart. Chocolate Soldier. The female butcher with the mustache. Good times. I remember we used to go their with no shoes on, on our bikes.

What do you guys think about the Cajun Brewing products? I've had Cajun Wit (maybe the only one available) at Pete's (at $6 a freaking beer -- C'mon Charlie!) and thought it was pretty decent.

I like the Cajun Wit...kinda reminds me of Blue Moon. Can't wait for their Bayou Brunette and the yet to be named Red Ale!

This board needs an updated beer thread. Not that the issues raised last night aren't important. They are important, and quite infuriating if true.

But having said that, to lighten the mood some....

New Local brewery called the Broken Wheel Brewery in Marksville. Give them a try if you are ever in town. I like the Spring Bayou Blonde and their seasonal LA Vielle wheat beer. They will be in Lafayette at the Gulf Brew Festival on July 23rd.

I had it on my first visit to the Whole Foods bar Friday evening. Both the bar and the brew were interesting. I'll do both again.
