Summer Beer Thread - 2016

There is an article on Beer Advocate about Universities and their relationships with breweries. The lead is the relationship with Teche Brewing and UL. It has been a very good relationship for both. Ragin Cajun Kolsch has been such a hit that they've had to expand to keep up with demand. I tried to link the article but failed.

Finally visited the brewery a few Sundays ago and I was very impressed. Live music and their parents made a huge pot of jambalaya. We brought home several souvenirs back to Texas.

Anyone tried Gnarly Barley's stuff? They are in Hammond. Tried the Korova Milk Porter. One of the best beers I have had. Top 5 at least. Anyone know if their other stuff is good?

Actually tried a couple recently, against my better judgement. New Belgium Pumpkick was pretty good until the halfway point then just ok. I haven't had a second one, if that tells you anything. Also had a pumpkin stout from Wasatch. Decent stout and not much pumpkin flavor at all. Dont need to buy either again.

That Cherry deal from Wasatch is a dirty good beer. Tastes way to good, and packs a Wasatch punch.

That Tatanka Stout at BJ Brewhouse is still one of the highlights of my summer beer drinking!!
