Trinity Christian was ranked as the #7 overall team in the state of Florida. They were ranked high in 4A, but lost 2nd round to a team they had beat before. Also, they beat the two state finalists in that class by a combined 21-0 in the regular season.
What is even better is if you check out his accomplishments in summer ball where he faced top talent and batted way above .500.

I agree with the fielding, but I wouldn't question his hustle. The problem is when players are put in the outfield for the first time they don't have a lot of confidence in their read. They are not accustomed to judging balls in the outfield and have likely been fooled quite a few times. So what looks like poor effort/hustle is actually lack of confidence in their read and drifting towards the ball.

You actually saw this in Kennon Fontenot at times. He would either go 100% and look bad on a misread, or he would slowly track fly balls (drift) and still misread. Sensley in the games against Arizona drifted towards those line drives in the gap instead of being confident in his read and busting a__ to it. It takes time to adjust for players transitioning to the outfield, which both Fontenot and Sensley were.

Bottom line, improvements need to be made defensively in the outfield. I think they will come with increased reps (especially this summer).

All good points. Hope he improves and reaches his full potential, both for the Cajuns and for himself.

Agree. He may be doing this to get the Reds to offer more

I bet Jay is a fan of those unis. Geez, from the still image of the video I thought I was going to watch a highlight from Pelican Park.

Jokes aside, glad he chose to come to UL. Hope the decision is final.
