There are many teams that catch fire after a slow start. That has happened to us the last two years and there were many of us, myself included, who suggested last year was Robe's finest hour as a coach.

I understand what they are saying about Mainieri and I actually agree with them. After losing eight of nine in their lineup, this team turned out to be better than a lot thought they'd be. Again, myself included.

If a coach is going to get the blame when things are going poorly, they deserve some credit if the team then goes on a roll.

I don't think anybody "just gets hot."

I agree. I'm no LSU fan, but next year they will actually be much better for this year's experience.

thank you for your concern for my well being, it is much appreciated. I do enjoy, and imagine how much all of us would enjoy Cajuns athletics more if we were always competing on a level playing field! I didn't know posts were analyzed on a percentage basis of frequency of topic, rather than accuracy, lol. now that some are finally agreeing was I simply ahead of my time???? lol

Did anyone notice the bad call against CC on the bunt play in the top of the ninth. The umpire called the bunter safe and he never touched the base which was verified on instant replay. Without the safe call, any fielder could have picked up ball and touched Fraley for the out. LSU probably does not score. Going back to the inside the park homer call in the regional, all close or controversial plays went to the tigers.

the ump is supposed to give a safe call there because at the time (time of the would be tag/collision) he was safe. its like a home plate umpire signalling safe if the tag is not applied after a dropped third strike.
