Why is a bat flip after a home run, worse than a pitcher fist pump after a strikeout? And maybe even dumber, why is anyone watching batter and not watching the ball?

IMO It's not any worse. But did you see when he was about to touch home plate?

As far as watching, there's no rule to what you have to pay attention to. I'd imagine most people can peripherally see a bat being tossed while simultaneously watching the ball.

I didn't like Miami to begin with.

Hate them in baseball. It isn't just the football team that got the rap as thug U.
Same goes for UCLA in softball.

The bat flip wasn't the issue. It was the jackassness skipping into home and taunting the catcher. And then continuing the skipping and acting like a jackass all the way to the dugout.

Really sucks that they don't play another game. The guy deserves a heater in the ribs...or two.

Either way. You don't act like that. I'm sure the catcher said something about his earlier antics and that spurred the stuff near home plate.

I would think that if one of our guys did that, Robe would have them by the throat. And deservedly so.

Again, it's a shame he didn't come to the plate again.
