The future is bright indeed.
---We have discussed on here the S-ship and tops situation for baseball and its limits---just wondering how many guys that we have lost to other schools because of this and who could have been starters for us---Sure LSU is a program that pretty much all would want to be a part of, but just have to think that UL would be second on that list!!! And come to think of it, how many did we lose to other schools in other sports for the same general reasons of no more aid to give out??? When I look at the all-state college picks, knowing that some are just good stats that we wouldn't want, I do think of the ones that could have helped us!!!
I think in baseball it does not hurt as much. It is more about the program rather than financial aid. Most of these kids are going to college anyway. They want to play for the program most appealing to them.
For one example, Blake Trahan only had 25% scholarship all 3 years. He is one of the best players to ever come through.
