Laf G7: Louisiana vs Arizona

I don't think you'll find a person on this board that doesn't agree that hitting has been an issue this year. Today it was a glaring issue, especially with used arms throwing. Some will say the Arizona pitchers were hitting their spots, but I'm sure that the batters will tell you it was on them. I'd agree with the batters.

The batters didn't adjust well tonight. Too many early swings. No patience at the plate.

Never again will I buy into the idea that we have a pitching advantage over a team that is coming out of the losers bracket. Guy throws 100+ pitches then comes back later and takes his team into the 8th. Next guy throws about 50 in relief then comes back with a start and pitches 1 hit baseball for about six innings. We come in with two quality rested starters and neither of them can get out of the second inning.

To be clear, I'm not getting down on our guys. I'm just saying that's baseball, and next time I'm going to try to remember that.

You know what? It is 9:55pm on Monday, June 6, 2016 and not much has changed.
Our boys had a great season, again.
The Tigue hosted a regional, again.
La Tech still sucks.

Hey we hosted a regional, the last year at the Tigue! I couldn't be happier, sucks we lost, but we are getting a brand new Baseball Stadium! We coming back bigger and badder than ever.

No one can keep up with our improvements, Tech will look like a dump and we will have a brand new facility ready for next baseball season.

This as many other games will long be forgotten.

Tech can never live down trying to dictate to a bowl committee which ultimately left them out in the cold, killing multiple mascots and hiring a 24 year old male to coach 19-23 year old females and the ultimate breeding sessions. But at least that was a step up for you inbreads, that family tree won't be a stick or twig.

The very fact that we lost two weekday games to Tech this year is an anomaly and happens about as often as a sighting of Haley's Comet. Meanwhile, this was an average year for us. You know, Regular Season Co Champs in Conference, Tournament Champs, hosting a Regional and being the only program outside of a Power Conference to do so. 12th in avg. Attendance, and ranked in the top 20. You know, an average year.
Now run along little dog and sniff some butts.
