Robe does need to address batting/offense this offseason. Seems like in losses and games they pulled out, the batters have made opposing pitching look unbeatable.

Hitting into a double play with the bases loaded in the first game was the turning point. Poor hitting came back to haunt the team. We haven't been a good hitting team since Deggs left.

Agreed. We were near perfect yesterday. What changed? Zona gets up early in both games and we panic?

What changed was we not good enough offensively when we fell behind. Yesterday we bunted 5 times, put runners in motion, and put pressure on the defense...things we have to do to beat this caliber team.

It's hard to bunt runs over and pressure the defense when you don't get runners on base.

I don't think you'll find a person on this board that doesn't agree that hitting has been an issue this year. Today it was a glaring issue, especially with used arms throwing. Some will say the Arizona pitchers were hitting their spots, but I'm sure that the batters will tell you it was on them. I'd agree with the batters.

Championship teams it is a switch. We don't have that. We have three professors trying to out think every opponent, and forgetting that baseball is a physical game played in actuality, not in your head.
