No hard feelings toward the kid, just calling a spade a spade. Herrington would've locked down the misplayed fly balls this weekend (Keenon's over run ball in Game 1 and Sensley's miss that his him directly in the mit). This is only two blunders from the weekend. I can name a few other mistakes but I'm over it.

Great season, they fought hard.....tough to swallow when you feel you've punched your ticket to the SR when you crush Zona's face 10-3, then they come back and stick it to ya.
If he would have charged the ball no throw would have been needed. Should have been runners on the corners verses a run and runner on third.

Yes-this wore me the F out man. That was a major mistake in the outfield on a routine seeing eye single right at him....he'll learn from that, I'm sure he's already heard it a million times from the staff.

    ESPN's Law takes a swipe

ESPN baseball analyst Keith Law criticized how Johnson used his pitching staff Monday. Johnson started Nathan Bannister on two days' rest in the first game. Kevin Ginkel, who closed that game, started the second.

"U of Arizona baseball having a field day of pitcher misuse," Law said via Twitter. "Kevin Ginkel faces 4 batters to close game one, comes back to start game two. … Ginkel also faced 7 batters Sunday (24 pitches). Wring 'em out coach!"

Child abuse. I certainly noticed Bannister throw 96 pitches on Friday, then 102 on Monday. Ginkel threw 24 pitches Sunday before starting Monday night going 72 pitches.

If you can shave, you can throw as much as you want.

I have no issue with Ginkel. A 24 pitch outing is no more than a small bullpen to stay fresh before a start. The use of Bannister on the other hand; it will catch up to him one day and bad coaching is to blame.
